Due to heavy rain on 26 July 2005, many of our community people sustained heavy loss at their business places as well as in residence.V.K.K. invited applications from affected persons with intention to help them in their crucial time V.K.K. took responsibility to help our community people towards their business loss .we received around 275 applications.

V.K.K. trustees, office-bearers, managing committee members along with social workers in areas visited personally to each & every applicant.
We visited areas from Bandra to Dahisar & in central line from Kurla to Kalyan, Bhivandi, Panvel. More affected areas were Saki naka, Marol, Jogeshwari, Kurar village, Goregaon, Kandivali, Charkop, Ravalpada – Dahisar, Kurla, Asalfa – Ghatkopar, Khalai Village – Vidhyavihar, Vikroli, Bhandup, Thane, Kalwa, Dombivali, Kalyan, Panvel, Kalamboli etc.

We saw the reality of Wagad people during survey.

Our community people are living in such a slum areas may not be even known to all. We even saw these areas for first time in life time.

We assessed that lower & lower medium class people in our community are in big quantity. We even saw many women doing business or small home industry from the house. We saw self respect in these women. We felt that if they are helped with financial assistance, they could definitely become supporting hands for their family.

Hence it was decided by VKK to give interest free loans to those women who really want to work & earn for their family for day to day needs. Limit of Rs.25000/-was fixed for this women welfare activity. VKK received many applications & after scrutinizing every application, genuine applicants are given interest free loans which are to be repaid by them in 50 equal installments.

We proudly announce that loan installments from all women are being timely paid. With financial help by VKK, many women are now engaged in small business like beauty parlor, embroidery, fall beading work, rakhi & immitation jewellery making, making sweet & farsan etc.

VKK is ready & willing to help women of our community by way of financial & moral support.

We invite all needy women who want to work with self respect & want to become a helping hand for their families.
The limit has been raised to Rs. 50,000/-
